F&B Intern

You Must

  • Always love our guests.
  • Be flexible and adapt easily to different environments and shifts.
  • Be well organised.
  • Keep cool when the pressure hits.
  • And most importantly be yourself.

You Will:

  • Report to the F&B Manager.
  • Be assigned to Bar, Kitchen and Restaurant.
  • Get to know our guests and do your best to meet their expectations.
  • Handle guest complaints with empathy and respect.
  • Take care of business and cash handling.

You Will Experience:

  • 1 month café - breakfast shift.
  • 2 months bar & restaurant- evening shift.
  • 2 months kitchen breakfast and evening shift.
  • 1 month F&B supervisor & admin shifts (shadowing F&B Manager and Events Coordinator).

You Need:

Experience working within the hospitality/service industry
A passion for trending food and drinks concepts
Strong team and communication skills.
Fluent proficiency in English, Indonesian and any other language would be a plus

Bar Crew

You Must

  • Have a passion for great coffee, excellent food, and different Cocktails.
  • Always love our guests
  • Be really really organised!
  • Keep cool when the pressure hits
  • Understand this is a business, be passionate about maximising revenue
  • Like getting your hands dirty, wherever, whenever, because you will

You Will:

  • Report to the F&B Manager
  • Be assigned to a department, either Bar, Café or Kitchen, but you may cross over to other outlets temporarily or permanently depending on your skills, ambitions and business requirements.
  • Be part of a great team across all front line departments that get Generator and want to be themselves.
  • Take ownership of the guest journey to ensure that we create a truly unique Generator experience.
  • Know your guests and have a passion for independent travel and the road less travelled.
  • Know and love artisan coffee and food with the courage to offer up something a little different
  • Know your city, its cafés, bars and restaurants, its art, its music.
  • At all times ensure that our social spaces embody the Generator brand and culture
  • Be Responsible for all cash handling whilst your are on duty

You Have:

  • Experience working within the hospitality/service industry
  • A passion for your city, for travelling and for trending food and drinks concepts
  • Knowledge of what’s on in Barcelona, art, music, culture, whatever.
  • Have a genuine interest and enthusiasm for service.
  • Fluent proficiency in English, Indonesian and any other language would be a plus

Chef

You Must

You Will

  • Report to the Head Chef
  • Work well independently or with the team and take full ownership of our Food Offering
  • Own guest complaints and resolve them yourself. You solve the problems, you create the solutions
  • Give input to the Head Chef on menu creativity with the courage to try something different and deliver innovative, locally inspired food & beverage offerings appropriate to the guest
  • Keep up to date with local food trends
  • Carry out all preparatory tasks ensuring good quality produce at all times
  • Know your city, its cafes/bars and restaurants
  • Assist the Head Chef to exceed the budgeted departmental P&L
  • Operate a clean hygienic kitchen at all times.
  • Ensure that you remain compliant with all local food hygiene legislation

You Will

  • Experience working within the food industry (minimum 3 years)
  • A genuine interest and enthusiasm for food and service
  • A passion for trending Food concepts in Barcelona and elsewhere
  • Intermediate English

Receptionist

You Must

  • Be a great communicator and motivator
  • Be creative, innovative and digitally smart
  • Have appropriate experience

  • Curate the customer journey

You Will

  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanour at all times
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms/beds and promote other services of the hostel
  • Assist in registering guests and assigning rooms/beds
  • Resolve customer issues, complaints, problems in a quick, efficient manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality service
  • Build strong relationships and liaise with all other department's especially housekeeping, maintenance & reservations
  • Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management
  • Ensure that our social spaces embody the Generator brand and culture
  • Thoroughly understand and adheres to proper credit, check- cashing, and cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Ensures safety by following guest check in and security procedures and reporting suspicious activity to security, manager, or MOD
  • Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area
  • Work closely with the Financial Department to ensure accounting coherence

You Will

  • Passionate for the hospitality and the youth travel market
  • Fluent in English and knowledge of a second language is desirable
  • Passionate for delivering excellent customer service
  • Knowledgeable of Paris and its trendy spots
